The Uttarakhand NEET PG counselling 2026 will be conducted by Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU), Dehradun. The counselling is being held for admission in postgraduate medical courses like MD, MSand Diploma in medical colleges in the state. The counselling will be held for those candidates who have qualified the NEET PG exam 2026In order to participate in the NEET PG 2026, candidates must qualify for the NEET PG exam 2026 with a valid score, have an MBBS degree from a recognized college under NMC and complete their internship before the deadline. The candidates also require a permanent registration certificate under the NMC or the State Medical Council. The candidates applying under the state quota must be a domicile of Uttarakhand or have completed their MBBS course in the state. The participating colleges include GMC Haldwani, Doon Medical College, VCSG Srinagarand private colleges like HIMS Dehradun, SGRR Dehradunand Gautam Buddha Chikitsa Mahavidyalaya. To be eligible for the Uttarakhand NEET PG Counselling 2026 the candidate must have qualified for NEET PG 2026 with a valid scorecard. The candidate must have an MBBS degree from a recognised college by the National Medical Commission. The candidate must have completed one year of internship before the deadline. The candidate must possess a permanent registration certificate from NMC/SMC. The candidate must have a domicile of Uttarakhand or must have studied MBBS in Uttarakhand to get admission in the state quota.

The Uttarakhand NEET PG counselling Reservation Policy 2026 provides for a fair distribution of seats in postgraduate medical courses across categories. For vertical reservation of seats, 19% are for SCs, 14% for OBC-NCLs, 4% for STs, 10% for EWS (only in government colleges)and 53% for the general category. For horizontal reservation of seats within categories, 30% is for women, 5% for PwD, 5% for defence personnel wards, 5% for orphansand 2% for dependents of freedom fighters. Uttarakhand NEET PG Counselling Fees 2026

The Uttarakhand NEET PG Counselling Fees 2026 consist of registration fees and security deposits. All candidates have to pay a non-refundable registration fee, which is between INR 5,000 and INR 6,500, while filling out the online application form. Apart from this, a refundable security deposit is also to be paid by the candidates, which is INR 25,000 in government colleges for General and EWS categories, INR 12,500 for SC, ST, OBCand between INR 1 and 2 lakhs in private colleges. The deposit is forfeited if the candidate is allotted a seat but does not join. The payment is to be made online by means of net banking, cards, etc.

The Uttarakhand NEET PG counselling choice locking and seat allotment process are given below. 

Step 1: The candidates are required to first register their names through the official website of the HNBUMU by filling out the required information.

Step 2: A merit list is published based on the NEET PG results, indicating the ranks of the candidates.

The Uttarakhand NEET PG Bond Policy 2026 states that candidates who are selected in government medical colleges under subsidised seats are supposed to provide service in government hospitals, particularly in the hilly regions of Uttarakhand. In case the candidate does not provide service in government hospitals, a huge penalty of approx INR 2.5 crore is charged. The annual fee for bonded seats is very low compared to non-bonded seats.
