University of Warmia and Mazury is a public university located in Olsztyn. The university was established on September 1999 after the merger of three institutions. These institutions are the Academy of Agriculture and Technology, the Higher School of Pedagogy and the Warmian Theological Institute. Since then, it has grown into one of the most important universities in Poland. The Faculty of Medical Sciences was established in 2007, and later in 2017, it was upgraded to the School of Medicine (Collegium Medicum). Through this school the university offers a six-year MD (Doctor of Medicine) program. An English-medium division was also introduced to welcome international students.
