Re NEET 2026 Fee Refund Window Reopens: Check Last Date & Step-by-Step Refund Process
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has reopened NEET UG 2026 fee refund window one last time to help aspirants verify or update their bank details to get a refund of their examination fee. According to notice published by NTA on 25th June 2026, aspirants have till 30 June 2026 (11:55 PM) to go through online procedure. The reason behind offering refund of examination fees is cancellation of NEET (UG) 2026 examination, which was held on 03 May 2026. Earlier, NTA assured candidates that they would receive their fees back directly into their bank accounts. It has been mentioned by NTA that almost 20 lakh candidates appeared for examination, but around 19 lakh candidates have confirmed or modified their bank details. Some aspirants were unable to complete this procedure for various reasons.

Who Can Update Bank Details?
The last window for refund is open for all NEET UG 2026 aspirants. The aspirants can:
Verify their already provided banking information.
Change wrong account number or IFSC code.
Provide banking information if it was not provided earlier.
Change their already chosen “No Refund” option and ask for a refund.
Choose “No Refund” if they don’t want to get a refund.
Step-by-Step Process to Claim NEET 2026 Fee Refund
The process of getting refunds for candidates is as follows:
Step 1: Navigate to the official NEET website https://neet.nta.nic.in/
Step 2: On the website, scroll down and select option “Final Opportunity to Confirm/Update Bank Account Details for NEET (UG) 2026 Fee Refund (Exam held on 03 May 2026)”
Step 3: Enter the Application Number and Password into candidate portal.
Step 4: Proceed with Two-Factor Authentication by entering One-Time Password sent to your registered mobile number.
Step 5: Go to Bank Account Details tab. If entered data is correct, mark box and hit Submit.
However, if you need any modifications, enter:
Name of Beneficiary
Account Number of Bank
Re-type the Account Number of Bank
Bank Name
IFSC Code of Bank
Step 6: Scanned copy of cancelled cheque or first page of bank passbook (if available).
Step 7: Click on the submit button before deadline.
Important Instructions for Candidates
NTA has informed applicants to provide their bank details cautiously. Refund will be made only to bank account and IFSC number provided at portal. Further, following points have been clarified by NTA:
No change request of bank details will be entertained after 30 June 2026.
NTA shall not be held liable in case of non-refund due to incorrect details of bank account provided by applicant.
Bank account must either be of applicant, his/her parents/guardians or of a joint account.
Applicants must never disclose their login details or passwords to any third party.
NTA shall not ask for OTP or password via call or message.
Why Has NTA Reopened the Refund Window?
As per official notification, there have been issues with several candidates reporting wrong bank details/IFSC codes post previous submission process. Even though NTA had extended correction window during admit card download phase, there were some candidates who were busy with examination-related preparations. In view of these requests, NTA is offering one last chance before going ahead with refund process.

Candidates have been informed to make sure that they do their account verification well before 30 June 2026, since NTA will not entertain any request for an extension after that date. According to NTA, refund will be paid at earliest opportunity after completion of verification of bank details.
