NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1 Dates Revised: Check New Registration, Choice Filling & Seat Allotment Schedule

As per the new timetable published by MCC on its website, NEET UG Counselling 2026, Round 1 registration will be over on August 15, with payment to be accepted till 5:00 PM. The window for choosing and locking will close on August 17, 2026, at 6:00 PM. Subsequently, seat allotment procedure will take place on August 18 and final Round 1 results announcement will happen on August 19, 2026. Shortlisted candidates will then be required to report to their allotted medical or dental colleges from August 20 to 25, 2026. For thousands of medical aspirants who are aspiring for undergraduate courses such as MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing through All India Quota (AIQ), as well as central universities now additional time to participate in counselling. 

Revised NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1 Schedule

Those students who have qualified for NEET UG Exam 2026 must know that the MCC has made changes to schedule for Round 1 counselling process. Some of the changes in counselling process include registration process, fees payment, choice filling, choice locking, seat allotment and reporting dates. It is therefore necessary for NEET-qualified candidates to follow the changed schedule.

Step-by-Step Guide to Register for NEET UG Round 1 Counselling

For candidates who have failed to fill out their initial application form or want to change their choices as per new scheme, following simple steps can be followed on official website:

• Visit the Official Website: Visit https://mcc.nic.in/ug-medical-counselling/. On website, go to UG Medical Counselling section. 

• New Registration: Go to Round 1 registration link and use your NEET UG Roll Number, Application Number and other details.

• Completing the Form: You must provide all necessary details, such as your personal and educational information, in NEET UG counselling form.

• Filling up Choice & Locking Choices: Fill in colleges and courses as per your choice and lock them before 6:00 pm on 17th August 2026. In case you forget to lock them yourself, they will be automatically locked for you.

What Next After the NEET UG Round 1 Counselling Result?

After the MCC has completed seat allocation process, result of 1st round NEET UG counselling seat allocation will be announced on August 19, 2026. In case a candidate is allotted a medical seat, then they need to download seat allocation letter and report to respective college between August 20 and August 25, 2026. Candidates must ensure that they have documents available with them, such as NEET admit card, scorecard and all other category certificates. The colleges will perform data verification of candidates on 26 August 2026 to process their admissions for UG programs.
