NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Announced: NTA Schedules Exam on 21 June

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has finally released the new date of NEET UG 2026 re-exam after the recent exam conducted on 3 May was cancelled due to paper leak. This move has left many students in a dilemma since many of them have been eagerly looking forward to an update on revised schedule. Now, the agency has confirmed that the NEET UG 2026 re-exam will be held on Sunday, 21 June 2026. NEET re-exam admit card will be released on 14th June 2026 by National Testing Agency. This decision has come after getting the permission of Government of India. Now that the dates for the new exam have been announced, students will be able to prepare themselves properly for their exam without any fear. 

NTA has also strongly advised students and parents to rely only on official communication channels for any exam-related updates. The agency has requested candidates not to trust or spread any rumours circulating on social media, as such information may be incorrect or misleading. As the exam date has been finalized, candidates can also expect their admit cards to be released around four to five days before the examination. The candidates are advised to keep visiting the NTA website for further information related to the examination. 

Reason for Cancellation of the Exam 

NEET UG 2026 exam held on 3 May was cancelled due to a suspected paper leak in Rajasthan. Central agencies are investigating the matter to ensure a fair and transparent exam process. The decision was taken after reviewing reports from different agencies and was approved by the Government of India. Officials said a PDF file related to the exam was found circulating on 7 May. Investigators are still checking whether it was shared before or after the exam. Based on this review, the exam was cancelled. The exam saw very high participation across India. More than 22 lakh students appeared. It was conducted across 37 states and Union Territories. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate is one of the largest exams in India for medical courses like MBBS and BDS.

NEET UG 2026 Admit Card Details

The NEET UG 2026 admit card will contain important details like the exam time and the address of the exam centre. NEET re-exam admit cards will be issued on 14th June 2026 by NTA. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website by logging in with their application number, date of birth and captcha code.
