NEET UG 2026 Exam Day Guidelines: What Students Must Know: Dress Code, Aadhaar & Exam Time
National Testing Agency will organize NEET UG which is one of the largest medical admission tests in India. It is scheduled to take place on Sunday 3rd May 2026. In preparation for test the admit cards were issued by NTA on 26th April 2026 through organization’s website. Candidates who will take test should carry their admit cards with a valid form of identification provided by government authority. From the marking scheme of NEET UG exam 2026, it can be seen that students will get four marks for every right answer, whereas there will be a negative mark of one mark for every wrong answer. The question paper will contain 180 compulsory objective type questions on Physics, Chemistry and Biology for a total score of 720 marks. The time allotted for examination is 3 hours and 20 minutes. Strict dress codes and other rules concerning what is not allowed inside the examination hall will also be adhered to in all centers.

NEET UG 2026 Dress Code Guidelines
NEET UG 2026 applicants need to adhere to prescribed dress code and identification norms as mentioned by NTA. It is recommended that the candidates update their biometrics from their Aadhar card beforehand to prevent any hindrance in their identification process at examination hall. The important norms about dress code are listed below.
Aspirants should wear plain shirts and T-shirts along with trousers or pants.
Students must avoid wearing clothing with extensive embroidery or designs.
Clothing with large buttons should be avoided.
Garments with additional pockets should not be worn.
Clothing with sequins or metal attachments should be avoided.
Lightweight clothing as per NTA’s rules.
NEET UG 2026 Prohibited Items and Security Check Guidelines
NTA will conduct compulsory frisking of all students appearing for NEET UG 2026 entrance exams with help of highly sensitive metal detectors. Applicants should not carry any prohibited items to facilitate easy entry to examination center.
