NEET 2026 Re-Exam Update: Candidates Can Edit Address and City Choice Till May 21

National Testing Agency (NTA) has informed that NEET UG 2026 aspirants would be able to change their current address and make changes in cities where they wish to take test again up to 21st May 2026, until 11:50 PM through official portal. This opportunity was made available from 15th May and last date for applying for same is known to be 21st May 2026. As per official notification released by organization, it has been made clear that only current address and two choices of cities for examination can be changed by students. NEET UG 2026 re-exam will be held on 21st June 2026, through offline mode at 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM, including allotted time for pre-examination formalities. It was also stated by authority that there would be no extra cost for taking re-examination. While medium of examination opted during previous process of filling up application form would not be changed now. According to NTA announcement, center allotted for taking re-examination might be different from center allotted earlier as new centers will be allotted based on updated preferences of cities.

Addressing some queries from aspirants, NTA stated that extra 15 minutes in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test UG 2026 are meant for biometric and document verification before exam, not for solving questions. The test conducting body also called for complaints from candidates facing problems due to center-related issues in NEET UG 2023 exam held on 3rd May, asking them to file their complaints with proper documents. NTA further clarified that there would be no change in NEET UG 2026 retest schedule despite any clash with other exams.

Correction Window:

• Correction of address and exam city facility available till May 21, 2026 (11:50 PM).

• Candidates can correct their present address and preferred exam cities.

• Correction of only address and first and second cities is possible.

• No other correction will be permitted.

Re-Exam Date and Time:

• Date of NEET UG 2026 Re-examination is June 21, 2026.

• Time of examination: 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM (Offline mode).

Important Points:

• There is no extra cost for re-examination.

• No change in language of examination is allowed.

• The centre of re-exam could be different from earlier allotted one.
