Mizoram NEET UG Counselling 2026 process is scheduled to start in first week of August 2026 after declaration of NEET UG 2026 result on 16 July 2026. It is process through which eligible candidates will get admitted to various undergraduate medical and dental programs of state. Counselling is offered to applicants who have cleared NEET UG 2026 exam and wish to enrol in MBBS and BDS programs of Mizoram state quota. The state counselling process involves registration, verification of documents, merit list publication, choice filling, seat allotment and college reporting process. While state counselling process for Mizoram quota seats is coordinated by Higher & Technical Education Department, Government of Mizoram, AIQ seats are managed by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

Mizoram NEET UG Counselling Eligibility Criteria

Eligible candidates should meet eligibility conditions set for taking part in NEET UG Counselling 2026 in Mizoram for admission into MBBS, BDS and other undergraduate courses in medicine. These eligibility criteria include NEET eligibility, educational qualifications, age, nationality and domicile conditions.

Candidates must be an Indian citizen to participate in Mizoram NEET UG Counselling.

NEET UG Qualification

Applicant should qualify NEET UG 2026 and meet required qualifying percentile as per their category.

Age Limit

Aspirant must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31 December 2026. There is no upper age limit as per current NEET UG rules.

Educational Qualification

Students must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as compulsory subjects.

Minimum PCB Marks

General category candidates require at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology. SC/ST/OBC students require 40%, while PwD applicants have separate relaxation as per rules.

Domicile Requirement

Candidates applying for Mizoram state quota seats must fulfil state domicile requirements and provide a valid domicile/residence certificate.

Category Certificate

Students claiming reservation benefits must submit a valid category certificate such as SC, ST, OBC, EWS or PwD certificate, if applicable.

Registration Requirement

Eligible aspirants must complete online counselling registration process within given schedule to participate in seat allotment.

Registration for Mizoram NEET UG Counselling is very first step that needs to be followed by candidates who aspire to appear in medical and dental counselling in state of Mizoram. It is through this procedure that students register themselves for counselling.

  • Step 1: Visit the official Mizoram NEET UG counselling website and click on registration link as soon as counselling process starts.

  • Step 2: On the portal, register for counselling, fill in your basic details, i.e. name, NEET UG roll number, email ID, mobile number, etc.

  • Step 3: Take a look at and verify all details you have entered on portal.

  • Step 4: Fill in registration with personal, academic, NEET UG details and also category & other details.

Mizoram NEET UG Seat Matrix

NEET UG seat matrix in Mizoram consists of All India Quota seats and State Quota Seats. There are around 100 seats in Mizoram out of which 15 come under AIQ seats while 85 come under state quota seats. There is only one medical college run by state government (Zoram Medical College) that provides MBBS seats, whereas BDS and other specific seats are allocated through centralised and regional pools (RIMS Imphal, Regional Dental Colleges). There is no private medical or dental college in Mizoram.

Mizoram NEET UG Counselling Reservation Policy

Mizoram NEET UG Counselling Reservation Policy for medical colleges comprises two categories. Initially, 15% of seats will be filled across country under All India Quota system. The remaining 85% of seats fall under State Quota, which is exclusively meant for residents only. In this segment too, a significant percentage of seats are meant for ST category candidates along with certain quotas for EWS, SC and OBC.

Directorate of Higher & Technical Education (DHTE) will release different cutoffs for different reservation categories in state quota counselling.
