NEET UG 2026 Seat Matrix Out: MBBS, BDS & BSc Nursing Seats- College & Category-Wise List

MCC NEET UG 2026 Seat Matrix has been made available on Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) website for admissions to MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing courses. Students appearing in MCC NEET UG Counselling 2026 process can now view available number of seats for each college, course and category before making their choices. The official MCC website has posted “Seat Matrix NEET UG MBBS BDS & BSc Nursing Round 1” document under Current Events 2026 section.

Seat Matrix will be useful for those students who are making their choices for Round 1 since it provides information about which colleges and courses are available through MCC counselling process and how many seats are available in each of these colleges and courses. Students must keep in mind that MCC seat matrix is not complete seat intake of country or for state-wise seats for MBBS/BDS courses. It deals with specific seats allotted through the All India Quota and by some other participating institutions, whereas state counselling authorities conduct counselling for their state-quota seats.

MCC generally conducts counselling for 15% AIQ seats in government medical and dental colleges and 100% seats in deemed universities, while state counselling authorities handle remaining state quota and most state-level private college seats. • Step 1: Visit the official Medical Counselling Committee website http://www.mcc.nic.in/ug-medical-counselling/

• Step 2: On the window that opens, find the UG Medical tab in above navigational bar and click on it. 

• Step 3: Find “Seat Matrix NEET UG MBBS BDS & BSc Nursing Round 1.” The file will be available on official website of MCC.

• Step 4: Download or open PDF file to view the seat matrix. 

• Step 5: Students can also search for their desired college by using Ctrl+F function on their computer or use search option of the PDF if they are accessing it from a mobile device. Enter college name, city or course name.

• Step 6: After finding required college, verify category and seat type before adding it to choice list.

How to Use the NEET UG 2026 Seat Matrix While Filling Choices?

NEET UG 2026 Seat Matrix should be used as a choice-filling tool and not just for seat counting. Students should include all three types of choices in choice list. They should not put colleges lower just based on number of seats. The number of seats doesn’t define closing rank. Candidates need to fill in their choices in three different categories:

• Dream Colleges: These are colleges that you may find it hard to get into considering your NEET rank, but at same time you would love to pursue your education from there.

• Realistic Choices: These are colleges which can be easily considered on basis of your NEET rank and category.

• Safe Choices: These are colleges in which chances of getting a seat are comparatively higher.
