Kerala NEET PG Counselling 2025: Dates & Seat Matrix
The official process for admission to postgraduate medical courses in Kerala is called Kerala NEET PG Counselling 2026. The counselling process is conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, to provide a fair and transparent process for medical graduates. The medical courses offered under this process include MD, MS and PG Diploma courses. It is an important opportunity for medical graduates who wish to pursue further medical courses. The admission process is strictly based on the NEET PG 2026 rank, thus making merit the key factor for admission.
The process of counselling is conducted in a hybrid manner, i.e., a mix of online and offline counselling. First of all, the candidates are required to register and enter their choices online and then the seats are allotted on the basis of the rank and preference of the candidates. After the allotment of the seat, the students are required to report to the concerned college offline and confirm the admission.
The entire process is conducted in multiple rounds to ensure that all the available seats are filled. The process begins with the Round 1 and Round 2 and then the Mop-Up Round is conducted and finally, the Stray Vacancy Round is conducted to ensure that no seat is left vacant. The entire process is well planned and systematic and NEET PG Counselling 2026 is no exception, as the entire process is designed to give the candidates multiple chances to secure admission.

Kerala NEET PG Counselling Choice Filling and Locking Process
How to Select Colleges and Courses? The candidates are required to log in to the CEE Kerala website and select the colleges and courses of their choice. The selections have to be made based on the NEET PG rank, reservation category and preference. The options have to be arranged in the correct order of priority and allotment will be made strictly in this order.
Strategy for Choice Filling
- Balance ambition with practicality in these choices.
- Create a list of first choices in colleges and specialities.
- Create a list of mid-level choices in case first choices are not available.
- Highly competitive specialities include Medicine, Pediatrics and Radiology, which need higher ranks.
- Less competitive specialities provide better chances of getting a seat in these specialities.
- Add a wide variety of options to increase the chances of getting a seat in any of these options..
Locking Deadline & Editing Options
The options have to be locked before the official deadline is announced by CEE Kerala. Once locked, no further changes are allowed. If the options are not locked, the system will take the last saved options for consideration. The editing option will be available until the deadline, after which no further changes will be allowed on the portal.
