The counselling for Himachal Pradesh NEET PG is a method through which qualified candidates are allocated a seat in a PG medical course based on their performance in the examination, their preferences and their qualifications. Himachal Pradesh NEET PG Counselling Registration Process

Step 1: The candidates need to visit www.amruhp.ac.in to start their application process. No offline application forms will be accepted for NEET PG counselling 2026.

Step 2: The candidates need to download and read the complete official PG MD/MS/DNB prospectus from the AMRU website before applying. This will prevent errors or rejection of the application.

Step 3: The candidates need to register using a valid and unique email ID and mobile number. The login credentials will be generated after registration, which will be used in the future.

Himachal Pradesh NEET PG Counselling Choice Locking and Seat Allocation Process

The Himachal Pradesh NEET PG counselling registration process consists of registration, choice locking and the seat allocation process. The steps for them are given below:

Step 1: Candidates first appear for the NEET PG examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).

Step 2: NBE releases the results of the NEET PG examination along with the scorecards. Candidates need to download the scorecards and the rank letter.

Step 3: Candidates who are eligible need to register themselves on the Himachal Pradesh NEET PG counselling process portal. During this process, the candidate has to pay the application fee.

Step 4: Candidates need to upload the scanned copies of the required documents such as MBBS degree, completion of internship, domicile certificate, category certificate, etc.

Candidates are advised to keep checking official website for latest updates on counselling schedule, as the dates for registration, choice filling and seat allotment are subject to change at any moment.
Candidates are advised to research all government and private medical colleges in Himachal Pradesh before filling the college preference form, as the information regarding the seat matrix, the various branches available, fees structure and bond requirements will be helpful for the candidates.
Candidates are advised to keep their documents ready, including the scorecard for NEET PG exam, the degree certificate for MBBS course, internship completion certificate, domicile certificate and category certificate.
Candidates belonging to reserved category, including SC, ST, OBC and EWS are advised to refer to the state policy for state of Himachal Pradesh, as eligibility criteria for state will be different from the central counselling norms.

Yes, non-domicile students can apply for counselling under the Management Quota and NRI Quota in private medical colleges only.

Application fee is Rs 3,600 for General/EWS, INR 2,500 for SC/ST, and free for PwD students. The seat acceptance/token fee is INR 39,000 for government colleges and INR 5,00,000 for private colleges. NRI students have to pay in US dollars.

There are a total of four counselling rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round.

If a student does not report to college in time, then their seat is cancelled, and he or she is not eligible for the next counselling round. Also, the security deposit/token money is forfeited. In Round 2 onwards, resigning from college attracts a penalty of Rs 50 lakhs.
