Goa NEET UG Counselling 2026 is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Goa, through its Centralised Admission Division. Admission under NEET-based courses will be provided based on merit and performance of candidate in NEET UG 2026 exam. Major courses provided include MBBS, BDS, Allied Health Sciences (AHS), BNYS and B.Sc. Nursing and B.V.Sc. & A.H. and other NEET-based courses declared by DTE. Goa NEET UG Counselling Eligibility Criteria

For participating in NEET UG counselling for Goa, candidates need to meet certain requirements in order to participate in counselling. Applicants need to be eligible for NEET UG and pass Class 12th in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects. Candidates need to have PCB scores required by their category. Admission is open to Indian nationals under applicable categories. NRI candidates holding an Indian passport can apply for NRI seats, while OCI/PIO cardholders are considered eligible under NRI category.

NEET UG

Candidates must have appeared in NEET UG and obtained a valid score/rank. For 2026 admissions, eligibility and merit are based on applicable NEET UG 2026 criteria.

Age Limit

Applicants must have completed 17 years on or before December 31 of academic year of admission.

Qualifying Examination

Students must have passed Class 12/HSSC from Goa Board or an equivalent examination.

Aspirants must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology, along with English.

At least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology are required for MBBS or BDS.

40% aggregate marks in PCB are required for candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC categories.

As per Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Goa Common Prospectus for UG Courses, application & counseling registration fee is uniform for all categories. There are no different fee structures applied by DTE Goa for applications belonging to General, Reserved or PwD categories. The application fee has to be paid online via official website of DTE Goa using net banking, debit or credit cards through payment gateway link. Goa NEET UG Counselling Reservation Policy

Goa NEET UG counselling will follow reservation criteria established by Goa Government for State quota seats. Usually, 2% of seats are reserved for SC category, 12% for ST and 27% for OBC category. Other reservations may be provided for PwD category, EWS category, etc. It should be noted that candidates who are opting for reservation will have to provide proof of their category.

Government Medical Colleges in Goa

There is only one government medical college in Goa that is known as Goa Medical College (GMC), which is located in Bambolim, Goa. This medical college was set up in 1842 as Escola Medico Cirurgica de Goa and was later named Goa Medical College in 1963. The college is affiliated with Goa University and is run by Goa Government.
